East Texas holds a beauty and allure that is like no other. There is something magical in the evening moments when the sunbeams hit the pines just right, casting a golden halo around their tall, swaying bodies. The frogs seize the moment and strike up a background melody that only the whip-poor-will can carry the tune for. It’s in these moments that I’m reminded of why I traded the big city for this majestic space.
Part of the the beauty of East Texas is that it is home to people with many different passions. Some I share, some I still find intriguing because their tenacious spirit is so fervent. We love where we call home. We love our families. We love our food and drinks. We love music. This month, we feature stories that pay homage to some of the things East Texans hold near and dear.
This month, I hope you will find inspiration in some of the visionary souls that are out creating and following their dreams and passions.
